What a game! Anwil Włocławek defeated 113:89 Portuguese Sporting CP in the first round of FIBA Europe Cup!
Anwil started the first game of FIBA Europe Cup 2022/2023 in the incredible way - the Rottweilers were unstoppable and after the first quarter led 42:23 (10/13 behind the arc). Przemysław Frasunkiewicz’s players shared the ball (30 assists in total) and made shots from open positions.
In the following parts of the game nothing really changed. Anwil continued to put a lot of pressure in defense and was effective in offense. The Rottweilers scored 113 points, one of their best ever European performances.
Today, the whole team deserves a mention. Michał Nowakowski was Anwil’s best scorer. The power forward had 24 points (5/6 behind the arc), four rebounds, two assists and steals.
