The Rottweilers' next campaign on the international stage is approaching. The draw for the group stage of the FIBA Europe Cup in the 2022/2023 season took place - Anwil Włocławek ended up in group G.
The FIBA Europe Cup involves 32 teams divided into eight four-team groups. The two best teams from each group will advance to the second round of the competition. Two teams from the second group stage will advance to the quarter-finals.
Today, the draw of the group stage of FIBA Europe Cup in season 2022/2023 took place. Anwil Włocławek ended up in group G. The rivals of coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz's players will be Finland's Karhu Kauhajoki, Hungary's Egis Körmend and the winner of the elimination path - Sporting CP (Portugal), BG Göttingen (Germany), Telenet Giants Antwerp (Belgium), BC Trepca (Kosovo), Petrolina AEK Larnaka (Cyprus) or Thor Thorlakshofn (Iceland).
If Karhu or Egis advance to the Basketball Champions League, Anwil's group will include a team from the FEC qualification. The final group shape will therefore be known at the end of September (FEC qualification round is scheduled for 27-30 September).
