The Rottweilers made the first step on their way to the bronze medal! Anwil Włocławek defeated Grupa Sierleccy Czarni Słupsk 78:77 in the first game for the third place of Energa Basket Liga.
The game was even from the very beginning. The stakes were high and both teams fought hard. After a great 3-pointer by Jonah Mathews, Anwil reduced the gap to three point before the halftime (34:37).
In the second half Anwil slightly took the control. The Rottweilers made 19 assists which helped them to build advantage. Eventually, Przemysław Frasunkiewicz’s players won by one point (78:77) – on Saturday they will give everything to win the bronze medal.
James Bell was Anwil’s best scorer. The small forward finished with 25 points, nine rebounds, five fouls drawn and three assists.
