The Rottweilers defeated Tartu Ulikool Maks & Moorits 80:74 in the semifinal of the European North Basketball League! Thus, tomorrow Anwil Włocławek will fight for the trophy.
Przemysław Frasunkiewicz’s players really wanted to advance into the final. They were favourites of the game, but the opponents fought hard and after the first half Anwil led only by three points (37:34).
The rivals were looking for their chance behind the arc (15/46 from the distance), while the Rottweilers in the paint (19/36 close to the rim). As it turned out, Anwil's tactic was better. In the crunch time the hosts made 8:0 run and won the game.
Jonah Mathews was Anwil’s best scorer. The point guard had 22 points, five rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal.
In the first game of the Final Four Siauliai-7bet won against Basket Brno 84:73 after an exciting game and made it into the final. The Rottweilers will fight for the trophy with Lithuanian team tomorrow.
