The Rottweilers returned to Włocławek after a few weeks and it was not the only good news this evening. Anwil defeated PGE Spójnia Stargard 108:97 after an overtime and took revenge on the rivals.
Just like not so long ago, Anwil started the game quietly and had to reduce the difference. After intense and stressful last minutes of the fourth quarter, crowd in the Champions’ Arena had to watch an overtime.
Przemysław Frasunkiewicz’s players were ready for it – that was the third additional time in the last four games. The Rottweilers shared the ball (they won 24:16 in assists), made 14:0 run and built the advantage, which was too big for the rivals.
Jonah Mathews was Anwil’s best scorer. The point guard had 33 points (second best result in this season), 10 fouls drawn, five assists and two rebounds.
