The leader of the Energa Basket Liga always fight hard until the very end – today WKS Śląsk Wrocław found out about it. Anwil Włocławek won 97:89 after solid performance in the second half.
Games between Anwil and Śląsk are always interesting – because of the long history and rivalry between both teams. Today’s game started well for the opponents, but in the second quarter Anwil responded. In the third quarter Przemysław Frasunkiewicz's players dealt a strong blow (31:16).
A minute before the final buzz Anwil led only by three points (90:87). Thanks to Maciej Bojanowski and James Bell, who finished two consecutive actions with dunks and Luke Petrasek who made a shot behind the arc, the Rottweilers built a difference (97:89) and eventually won another home game.
Kyndall Dykes was Anwil’s best scorer. The shooting guard finished with season-high 30 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals and no turnovers in 32 minutes on the floor.
