Anwil Włocławek wins the Christmas Game! The Rottweilers won against Polski Cukier Pszczółka Start Lublin 90:81 – that was a solid result in the first game of second stage of the 2021/2022 season.
Both teams started slowly – Anwil created some open shots, but couldn’t make them. Because of that, the opponents led after the first half (42:40).
The second half brought a change – Przemysław Frasunkiewicz’s team was precise, played faster and strong in the defense. The hosts had 21 assists and only six turnovers overall – that led them to 90:81 win in the Christmas Game.
Jonah Mathews and James Bell were Anwil’s best scorers – both had 17 points. The point guard added six assists, four rebounds and two steals. The small forward finished with seven rebounds and both three assists and steals.
