We will officially list all participants in August – says Mariks Noviks, press officer of ENBL, adding –Now, however, I would like to welcome Anwil Włocławek in the ENBL group. The participation of the three-time Polish champion, winner of many trophies, as well as a club that regularly plays in Europe is great news for our competition.

Participation in the European competitions is an important part of the club's functioning and the possibility of wider promotion of our sponsors. The league called ENBL is a new project aimed at clubs from the Baltic and eastern parts of Europe. I hope that the games in these European competition will give us and our fans a lot of basketball emotions – says Arkadiusz Lewandowski, Chairman of the board of Włocławek Basketball Club.

The European North Basketball League (ENBL) is an international competition for clubs from northern, central and eastern Europe that cannot play in the Basketball Champions League or the FIBA Europe Cup due to certain limits, but still want to take part in the competition outside their country.

Eight teams will participate in the first edition of ENBL. Apart from Anwil, teams from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Belarus will also play, including medalists from various leagues and teams that already have experience of competing on the international arena. First we will play in the group stage (details coming soon), then the Final Four will take place in spring 2022. However, we are already thinking about the development of our project, assuming the participation of 16 teams in the 2022/2023 season – adds Noviks.
