Włocławek Basketball Club informes about signing a contract with well-known American point guard, James Washington.
This player needs no introduction – a few seasons ago he came to Włocławek during the season and quickly became one of the fans' favorites. James Washington has shown that his heart for the game is much bigger than the dimensions – has anchored in Polish basketball for a longer time. Today he is back in Włocławek to help the team in the best possible way in the coming weeks.
In the 2016/2017 season, Washington had an average of 10,5 points and 3,1 assists in less than 20 minutes on the court. Good performances resulted in a transfer to TBV Start Lublin, where he spent two seasons (16,2 points and 6,1 assists in the first and 14,9 points and 6.5 assists in the second season), and then played in the Romanian league.
He returned to Poland for 2020/2021 season – also due to the fact that he has a family here. Thus, he went to Polpharma Starogard Gdański, where in 25 matches he had an average of 11,4 points, 7,3 assists (second best result in the league) and 2,6 rebounds.
