Anwil Włocławek played at the good level only in the first quarter of the game against Pszczółka Start Lublin and because of that lost 78:94.
Anwil started with great energy – Marcin Woźniak’s players were aggressive, shared the ball and played hard on both sides of the court. They led 27:14 after the first quarter. Unfortunately, later on the rivals found solutions.
Pszczółka Start stopped the Rottweilers and transformed into the team that Anwil was at the beginning. Good defence led to easy baskets from the fast breaks (the opponents won 28:21 in that statistic). After 14-0 run in the fourth quarter (91:72) David Dedek’s players could start celebrating the victory.
Ivan Almeida and Walerij Lichodiej were Anwil’s best scorers. The shooting guard had 16 points, 11 rebounds, eight fouls drawn, six assists and three steals. The power forward also had 16 points – he added an assist.
