Second stage of regular season Anwil Włocławek started with the lose. Arged BMSlam Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski played better in the fourth quarter, kept the concentration and won home game 88:79.
Marcin Woźniak’s players used different types of defense and thanks to that the opponents couldn’t find the way to the basket. Unfortunately, the Rottweilers also had problems with the offense (two shots from the distance made in the first half, 4/20 after the third quarter).
When Jakub Garbacz made a 3-pointer and built 7-point advantage for the rivals (84:77) 25 seconds before the final buzz, Anwil’s players knew that chances of winning are not high. The opponents kept cool in the last seconds, stopped key players from Włocławek and eventually won 88:79.
Ivan Almeida was Anwil’s best scorer again. The shooting guard finished with 26 points, 11 fouls drawn, five rebounds and assists, a steal and a block.
