Insurmountable Blockade

We won’t see the Rottweilers in the Basketball Champions League group stage. Anwil Włocławek couldn’t find the way to beat Belfius Mons-Hainaut and lost the semifinal of qualifiers 69:81.

The game started calmly. After the first quarter Dejan Mihevc's players led 20:17 and it seemed like it was going to be an even fight till the very end. In the second quarter the rivals caught the rythym, while the Rottweilers missed the majority of their attempts.

During later minutes the opponents proved, that on that day they are better team. Thanks to their athleticismand efficiency they built 21-point advantage (69:48) and didn’t let players from Włocławek to broke their defense.

Anwil Włocławek's best scorer was Tre Bussey. The shooting guard scored 14 points (4/9 from the field), he also had two assists, one steal and a rebound.
