Anwil Włocławek with a second win of this season. The Rottweilers beat in a good style GTK Gliwice – 98:82. Ivan Almeida, who just rejoined the Włocławek Basketball Club, was the best scorer.
Dejan Mihevc’s players wanted to end their losing streak. In the first quarter the Rottweilers showed great teamwork and effectiveness – thanks to that they built 10-points advantage (31:21). Anwil followed the game plan with every passing second and after 20 minutes led 57:36.
The second half of the game was calmer. Anwil kept the lead – even when the opponents increased the tempo, the Rottweilers controlled the situation. When Walerij Lichodiej made a 3-pointer and put Anwil on a 20-points lead (95:75) it was obvious, that the game is over.
Ivan Almeida was Anwil’s best scorer. The small forward finished with 25 points, four rebounds, three fouls drawn, two assists, one steal and a block. Przemysław Zamojski added 20 points, two rebounds, two fouls drawn, assist and a steal.
